Booti from Himalay. During his sky journey, he saw one Rishi named Yaksh in
mediation posture on Jakhu Hill.
This place
is known as Jakhu, after Rishi’s name Yaksh+Yaak+Yaaku=Jakhoo (Jakhu).
To know the
details of Sanjeevani Booti, Pawansut Hanuman came down from sky. When Balwan
Bajrang Bali placed his foot on hill, it had gone half in earth. After knowing details of Sanjeevani Booti, Veer
Hanuman went on the way to Dronachal Parvat.
On the very
spot where Hanumanji first placed his feet on hill, that footprint is created
by Sangemarmar (marble) and kept safely in one hut on temple backside.
Lord Hanuman
told to come back with Sanjeevani Booti to meet Yaksh Rishi but during journey
he fought with Kalanemi (Ravan’s Uncle) and finally killed and flew for
Sanjeevani Booti to Himalay.
On return
journey he flied through short way over Ayodhya and didn’t come on Jakhu Hill.
Here Yaksh
Rishi felt some disquieted because Hanumanji not came. So at that time Lord
Hanuman appeared in front of him and told reason to not come during his return
journey. After vanished of Lord Hanuman one murti swayambhu appeared that is
present in today’s temple. In memory of Lord Hanuman arrival on Hill, Rishi Yaksh
constructed one temple that is today’s famous Jakhu (or Jakhoo) Temple.
