Mehandipur Balaji Mandir dedicated to Hindu God Hanuman is located at
Mehandipur village belongs to Dausa district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It
is situated 66 kms from Jaipur, 44 kms from Hindaun city and 38
kms from Dausa and is quite close to the Bandikui railway
station. The temple is situated between to hills so also known as Ghata Mehandipur
Balaji Maharaj Mandir.
Long ago the image of Lord Balaji appeared self-manifested (swayambhu) from
the Aravali hills. The name Balaji is
applied to Shri Hanuman because the childhood (Bala) form of the Lord is especially
celebrated here.
Its reputation for ritualistic healing and exorcism of evil spirits
attracts many pilgrims. People suffering from malignant spirits and black magic
or spell get their relief when they make an appeal for relief to Shri Bhairav
ji (Kotval Kaptan, head of army) and Shri Pret Raj Sarkar (King of evil
spirits) who holds his court and awards punishment to the malignant spirits,
ghosts, goblins, ghouls, evil eyed witches etc.
