Shri Advait Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir

Shri Advait Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir is located at Shri Kainchi Dham, Param Pujya Baba Shri Neeb Karori Ji Ashram P.O. Kainchi Dham belongs to Nainital district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
Kainchi is a place at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level situated at a distance of 9 kms from Bhowali and 17 kms from the district head quarters Nainital on Almora-Nainital Road.
It is a modern pilgrim centre that has achieved recognition owing to the ashram of famous Neeb Karori Baba (or Neem Karoli Baba), also known to his followers as Maharaj-ji.
Kainchi is a term used for two sharp hairpin bends of the motor road (U-shaped bend in a road) in local dialect hence the name. It has no relation with scissors.
It was some time in 1962 when Maharajji came in Kainchi village and asked for the construction of a chabootara (rectangular platform). Hanuman temple is built over it. His devotees started coming from different places and a chain of bhandaras, kirtans, bhajans started.
Pran-Pratishtha of Lord Hanuman idol and other deities were performed on 15th June in different years. Thus, 15th June is celebrated as Pratishtha Divas every year when a large number of devotees reportedly, more than one lakh people come to Kainchi Dham and blessed.
Accordingly some changes have been made in the whole complex so that people do not face any difficulty in movement.
