Alakhnath Temple

51 feet height gigantic statue of Lord Hanuman is located at Alakhnath Temple (Lord Shiva Temple); Bareilly under Bareilly district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Mandir Shri Baba Alakhnath Ji is the headquarters of Anand Akhara order of Dashanam Naga sannyasis [Taponidhi Shri Panchayati Anand Akhara (or Akhada)]. Members of this order of Shiva devotees are also known as Naga Babas (or Bavas).
Alakha Nath temple complex has a large courtyard in the centre and inside the complex there are many buildings too. Here you will see many small and large shrines, some of these are within the building and some shrines are located outside the building.
Upon visiting the temple complex, one see devotees going from one shrine to the other and offer prayers to the God. Various animals are also seen roaming inside the temple premises. One can see cows and goats in one corner of the temple complex and a camel behind the complex too.
To get there from the station you flag down a taxi (of sorts), a cross between a jeep and an auto-rickshaw. It's only five rupees to the Alakha Nath temple because this vehicle picks up other passengers along the way.
