Sri Anjeneyar
(Hanuman) Temple is located at Batu 5, Jalan Pantai belongs to Port Dickson
district in Negeri Sembilan state of Malaysia (out of India).
Port Dickson
is a beach resort destination situated about 90 kms south from Kuala Lumpur and
30 kms away from Seremban. Also called 'PD' by locals, this popular holiday
retreat is located within easy reach from Kuala Lumpur (simply KL) and
Singapore by major highways and roads.
Sri Anjeneyar
Temple (or Sri Anjaneyar Alayam) is famous for the Hanuman deity who is said to
have turned and faced the sea! This Hanuman idol though installed straight has
somehow turned to the side (its left) facing the seaside (observe the face
of the idol).
Legends say
that Lord Hanuman turned his face to the sea. There is even proof that the Lord
Hanuman's statue really turned. A British tourist once came to this temple many
years ago and took a photograph of Lord Hanuman’s statue. It was facing
straight. Few years later, when this same British tourist came and took photos
he was shocked to see that The Lord’s Statue now faces the sea. It was really moved.
