Sri Gali
Anjaneya Swamy Temple is one of the oldest and sacred temples of Bangalore
located on Mysore Road; Byatarayanapura, the suburb of Bangalore city comes
under Bangalore district in the Indian state of Karnataka.
It is believed
that once the idol of Lord Anjaneya was open to Gali (Gali means Air in Kannada
language), hence the name Gali Anjaneya. Apart from the history Anjaneya
(Hanuman) is son of Vayu, the wind God therefore Gali Anjaneya (Vayuputra or
Pawanputra Hanuman).
Saint Sri
Vyasaraya of Channapattana, a great philosopher and devotee of Lord Anjaneya
has built around 732 temples for the Lord Anjaneya (Hanuman). It is believed
that Sri Vyasaraya established this temple in the year 1425.

AM to evening 8:30 PM, every Tuesday and Saturday special poojas are done.
