Panki
Hanuman Mandir is located at Panki, the suburb of Kanpur belongs to Kanpur
Nagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The ancient
Panki Hanuman Mandir is located about 8 kms from the Kanpur railway station
and main bus stand on the border Panki area of Kanpur city.
There are three
temple entrance gates from the east, north and west. The idol of the Lord is east
facing in a quite atmosphere with lot of silver emboss art work done around the
idol has an interesting feature.
The
popularity of this temple is due to the fact that the face of the deity appears
to change as the day progresses changes thrice a day. With the raise of Sun in
the morning the face of the Lord is seen as a Bala Hanuman (Balargha sathrusha
annanaha) bright and childish. During noon the face of the Lord is seen
as a youth (Brahmachari).
By evening the Lord Hanuman is seen as a Maha Purush (Tejasvee) appears mature as an adult.
Panki
Hanuman draws lot of devotees from all over the country and their wishes are heard
and fulfilled by the Lord.
