Tallest
sculpture of Abhaya Anjaneya Hanuman Swamy is located at Jagannatha Gattu
Temple on Jagannatha Hill near B.Thandrapadu close to Kurnool city under Kurnool
district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Jagannatha
Gattu Temple is also known as Sri Sangameswara Swamy Temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva. The shivalinga is of 6 feet height and 2 feet in width which is
made up of granite stone.
The name
Kurnool is derived from Kandanavolu.
The city is often referred as ‘The Gateway of Rayalaseema’. It was
the capital of Andhra State from 1 October 1953 to 31 October 1956.
The big statue
of Anjaneya Swamy is located on peak of mount Hill. Lord Anjaneya is looking to
the city and His Abhaya mudra is giving blessings to the devotees.
