Garnet color
big sculpture of Lord Hanuman is situated in front of Haidakhan Babaji Temple
at Ranikhet Hill station comes under Almora district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
It is located about 55 kms from Nainital and around 365 kms from the Indian
capital Delhi.
Haidakhan Babaji
Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and situated in Haidakhan Baba Ashram made by
Shri Haidakhan Maharaj who is said to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva. There
is a big Nandi and Bells are found in front as ordinary in Lord Shiva temple.
The splendid
views of the gigantic Himalayan peaks are clearly visible from Haidakhan
Temple.
Ranikhet is
a place related with the legends of Himalayas. Historical accounts tell the
Queen (Rani) Padmini of Kumaon was enchanted by this tiny hill paradise. King
Sudhardev obliged her, by building a palace here for the Queen and named the
place Ranikhet (Queen's fields).
