Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Mandir

One of the historic temple throughout the world is ‘Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Mandir’ also known as ‘Salangpur Wale Hanuman’ located at Salangpur (or Sarangpur) village belongs to Barwala taluk under Botad district in the Indian state of Gujarat.
Story behind Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Mandir :-
One time Aksharmukt Gopalanand Swami had arrived in a village of Botad. At that time the chief of Salangpur who was Vagha Khachar went to Botad to do darshan of Swami.
Gopalanand Swami asked him, “How is going Darbar? Are you happy or not?
At that time Vagha Khachar replied, “Oh Swami, we have two droughts (सूखा-अकाल). The first one being that for three years it hasn’t rained even once. Secondly, we do not have the darshan of great saints like you. In this way we have two droughts not one swami”, please do help us.
Then after going in deep meditation for a short while Swami spoke “Oh chief, what if we consecrate someone from which saints will always reside in your village?”, then you will have no problems.
In this way Swami showered (उदारतापूर्वक) great affection (प्रीति-प्रेम) upon the chief and gave the orders to make the idol of Lord Shree Hanumanji. In Samvat 1905 (in year 1848) Aaso vad pancham the idol was ready and with the Vedic rituals (अनुष्ठान) it was consecrated (प्रतिष्ठित).
Aksharmukt Yogiraaj Shri Gopalanand Swami after consecrating (प्रतिष्ठा) Lord Hanumanji idol at Sarangpur, has got rid (छुटकारा) millions of people’s troubles so called Kashtbhanjan Dev (Crusher of Sorrows- कष्ट-भंजन देव).

Shree Bhurakhiya Hanumanji Mandir

One of the most famous and greatest temple in Gujarat is Shree Bhurakhiya Hanumanji Mandir located at Bhurakhiya village belongs to Lathi taluka under Amreli district in Saurashtra (region) of Gujarat state. It is located about 11 kms from taluka head quarters Lathi, approx. 26 kms from Gariyadhar and around 29 kms from Babra on Amreli-Lathi-Chavand Hwy.
In the period of the Hindu calendar Vikram Samvat of 1642 (in year 1585) Shri Damodardasji was a renowned saint. He was the disciple of Shri Raghuvirdasji who was very famous and ascended from Ramanand Lineage (now Ramanandi Sadhu). Shri Damodardasji was very famous for his preaching and Ramayan katha. He was particularly famous for his oratory in Goswami Tulsidas krit Ramayan (Shri Ramcharitmanas).
During his religious journeys, on one occasion he came to Virangaum (now Viramgam). Here he had a dream. He realized that he had a ‘Darshan’ of Lord Hanuman. The Lord gave a message to saint that he would make an appearance on the full moon night in the month of chaitra, at the midnight (on Hanuman Jayanti day). He would appear from out of a cluster of Babool (or Babul) trees on a small hillock in the jungle at a place between Sabhad (now known as Damnagar) and Lathi.
Shri Damodardasji felt very blessed and he went to the place indicated by Lord Hanumanji. Once he reached the place, he talked to the local people of his dream. The locals comprised of farmers, traders and labourers. The story of the saint’s grand dream soon spread wide and from far people started thronging in thousands near the place.
On the full moon night of chaitra in Vikram samvat of 1642 (in year 1585) at the midnight, in the presence of thousands of believers, there was a huge lightning and amidst divine halo, the hillock with babool trees disappeared, the land almost leveled up on its own and at that place, the Lord appeared. He appeared as though he was smeared with sindoor all over, and gave darshan to those who were present.
Saint Damodardasji and others offered sastang pranam, bathed the Lord with water from five rivers and put garlands of akda flowers. People prayed there for several days. Aartis and poojas were performed for days. The saint thought of name “Bhu-rakhia” to signify that the Lord will protect and prosper (rakshya) the land (Bhu) around and its people. Over the passage of time Bhurakshya popularly became Bhurakhia (Bhurakhiya). The Lord is affectionately called “Bhurakhiya Hanuman” and “Bhurakhiya Dada”.

Shree Bhid Bhanjan Maruti Mandir

One of the oldest Hanuman temple in Baroda is Shree Bhid Bhanjan Maruti Mandir located at Harni village, Vodadara belongs to Vadodara district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is situated north-east of Vadodara on the banks of River Vishwamitri (whose name is derived from the great saint Bramharshi Vishwamitra) and is nearer to Vadodara Airport, Harni Tank on Harni Road and Motnath Mahadev Temple.
This place once was a forest full of banyan trees and most suitable for meditation and tapas. Many ascetic people and rishis have spent quiet time at this place to gain peace and have dharshan of Brahma. But unfortunately the place was under the control of a wicked king by name Hiranya. As a practice the king used to harass the rishis and saints who had taken to penance and meditation in this region. But the rishis were hopeful of a solution to this and continued their practice of penance. Once God Shri Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman along with Shri Hanuman was on a visit to this place and the rishis took the opportunity to brief Shri Ram about the harassment met out to them by Hiranya. They also requested for a solution to this problem so that they continue to meditate in this peaceful place.
Lord Ram ordered Hanuman to destroy the demon Hiranya. Veer Hanuman fought with vigor the demon king, but there was no sight of the end. When the battle was not coming to end God Shri Ram asked Hanuman to continue the fight with more vigor and take the Virat Roop at the appropriate time. The battle continued, on the fourteenth day Hanuman assumed Vishwa Roop and flung the demon king to the ground, pinned him down to the ground with His right foot. With Lord Hanuman’s right foot on him, the wicked powers of Hiranya started melting down.
Bhagwan Ram had ordained Hanuman to remain in that position, for it was the only way to subdue the demon & break his power. Lord Ram then prophesied that Hanuman will forego his ‘vanara’ features and will assume the ‘nara’ [human] form after leaving his Virat Roop.  As a symbol of acceptance of the command Hanuman is seen placed His right hand over His head. It is believed that Hanuman has been here ever since.
