height Sky-touch Giant statue of Lord Anjaneyar is located in Maruthanamadam
Anjaneyar Temple at Chunnakam town; Jaffna Peninsula in Sri Lanka (out of
India). The temple is situated near Maruthanamadam Junction on the
Jaffna-Kankesanturai Road.
Lord
Anjaneyar statue can be seen from far distance but sadly the electricity
cabling in front disturbs lot the gigantic view of it.
The
Gopuram of temple is 18 feet height. The Kumbhabhishekam ceremony of the temple
was held on 29th January, 2001. The routine poojas are held in the morning,
noon and evening daily, special poojas are held on Tuesday and Satureday as
these days are especially for Lord Hanuman.
